Hi! I’m Julie! Welcome to my little corner of the world!
My official title is “Weight Loss Coach who helps women in all phases of the menopause transition (peri-menopause, menopause and post menopause) lose weight and feel great”. But what it should really say “I help women over 40 find their inner bad ass and still eat dessert” but my Catholic school upbringing makes me cringe a bit when I have to write a swear word!
A bit about what to expect if you stick around (and I hope you do).
I will be sharing some behind the scenes of my life raising 4 kids (ages 18, 16, 12 & 10) and juggling life. My youngest has Down syndrome and that brings on some additional challenges.
I want to show you that health & fitness don’t have to be synonymous with deprivation and depression – – I’m 100% Italian and food is VERY important in my life . . . is it too dramatic to say food IS life?? If you ever came to any event in my family you would know that food is planned first – and is plentiful – and served with love. Ok, I’m hungry now . . .
I also want to empower you to pick up a dumbbell!! Nope – not that little pink one in the corner – grab the ones heavier than your purse and big enough to actually make it on the weight rack! There is something so cathartic about lifting and realizing your power . . . and I find that I don’t want to kill people as often if I lift a lot (remember that Italian part – – I definitely have a temper).
I’m a wife + mom of 4 + Down syndrome advocate + breast cancer survivor + photographer + major introvert + lover of the outdoors + aspiring plant lady (except I kill all my plants) + sister to 6 + 100% Italian + major food lover + macro coach + recovering serial dieter
Why I do what I do:
Life knocked me down a few times between having a child with special needs, cancer, chemo and surgeries and one day I saw myself in a picture and didn’t recognize the sad, overweight, exhausted woman.
I decided that enough was enough and I didn’t care what it cost I was putting myself first for once! I found a coach who taught me all about macro tracking and the benefits of strength training and most importantly mindset work!
I was hooked! After losing 30+ pounds and changing my body and feeling so much stronger mentally I wanted every woman my age to feel this same way!
I am now a certified macro coach and I love helping women in their 40s+ realize they have what it takes to achieve their health and fitness goals without restrictive dieting, hours of cardio and eliminating food groups!

– Women who want to learn how to incorporate all of their favorite foods into a healthy lifestyle. Because what good is looking great if you have to give up treats!

– I am in your shoes. I am NOT a 20 year old fitness influencer who has no idea what challenges we face. I am fully in menopause, I have 4 kids, a career, a house, 2 dogs etc . . . I know what it’s like to be juggling a million tasks and struggling to make myself a priority!
