If you love sweets but are trying to stick to your macros, you are going to LOVE this high protein snack – – yogurt parfait for the win!
It’s so easy too . . . these are ingredients I ALWAYS have in my kitchen whether I’m in a diet or maintenance mode!
My weight loss clients are always asking me how they can hit their protein goal . . . I think people tend to overcomplicate how to do that. When my clients first hear how much protein I suggest they eat they think they have to be eating boiled chicken all day . . . that is just NOT the case! I mean, you can if you want to but that sounds pretty awful to me!
With this greek yogurt parfait it is delicious and so high in protein that there is no reason not to hit your protein goal if you are following a macro diet too!
With just a few ingredients you can create this filling high protein snack!
Recipe: Serves 1
170 grams Non-fat Plain Greek Yogurt
5 grams sugar free Vanilla Pudding Mix (just the powder)
50 grams Strawberries
50 grams Blueberries
Macros: 21.7 Grams Carbs, .3 Grams Fat, 18.7 Grams Protein
This is also a great recipe to batch / meal prep for days when you have to be running errands or are working.
In order to keep the fruit from getting soggy just mix your yogurt separately . . . have all your fruit washed/cut/measured and in a separate to go container. Then, when you need to run out the door grab a yogurt and the fruit! No more grabbing fast food because you are hungry!
