Client Highlight! Meet “M”. A 55 year old mom of 4. In her words – here has been her experience so far:
“I have four children. I gained (and kept on) 5 pounds with each of them. I was tired of dreading the process of getting dressed; I had avoided seeing people who I hadn’t seen in a while bc I didn’t like how I looked; I was pretty sick w Covid last summer and seemed to be getting sick again every couple of months since then; I felt physically and mentally crappy. Also, I found myself trying to preach healthy habits to my children but not practicing them so much myself. I have never liked working out or diets that require me to count things. I recognize, however, that this lackadaisical approach got me to where I was. My family is so impressed with the changes they are seeing. I feel stronger, more confident and ,yes, totally bad ass when I’m lifting weights!
I know my children are proud of me, but best of all, I am really proud of myself. My macros are rarely perfect. Sometimes I only get three sets of a certain exercise in instead of four.
I’m showing up for myself every single day and, slowly and surely, it is making a difference.
My advice for anyone thinking about making a change: 1 – It totally sucks in the beginning – but I made an investment with Julie and didn’t want to waste it – after a few months – I realized I was investing in MYSELF now. 2 – You don’t have to be completely neurotic about your macros. 3 – It is a slow process – but the beauty of doing it Julie’s way is that I have actually IMPROVED my metabolism, feel satisfied with my meals and never feel deprived . . . and I always save room for Kodiak brownies & Halo Top ice-cream at night!”
